Auddy Spotlight: Tony Onuchukwu

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

We’re back this month with another Auddy spotlight. We’d like to introduce you to Tony Onuchukwu, one of our producers and sound engineers at Radio Wolfgang (since publishing this blog, Radio Wolfgang has now merged with Auddy and acts as our in-house production team).

Tell us a bit about your role at Radio Wolfgang, Tony.

My role at Radio Wolfgang involves editing and sound design of audio and enhancing the listener’s experience of our podcasts. It’s really varied work and so rewarding when it all comes together.

What advice would you give to somebody wanting to get into sound design?

Listen to as many podcasts with sound design as possible and try to familiarise yourself with different DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations).

Podcast recommendation?

The Woman Who… – the first series I worked on when I joined Radio Wolfgang, so it will always be a firm favourite.

Hanging out with Audiophiles  – I’ve learned so much from this show over the past few years. Mixing tips, microphone choices, and insight into mix engineers and producers’ processes.

Song Exploder – this one offers another great insight into the process of music creation and the artist’s process.
